CITIES OF THE PLAIN

Another "My Western Landscape" project,  this one inspired by a Cormac McCarthy novel.  Set in Texas, near El Paso in the 1950s, Cities Of The Plain is a story about cowboys, horses, love, whores, honor and violence.  The book is filled with cliche western themes interspersed with powerful passages reflecting on life and death.

I scanned my favorite parts, jumbled them up chronologically, and re-present them here in a totally different context.

I added my own punctuation by using a Kimber .45, a CZ 9mm, and a Taurus .22 magnum to fire rounds into each panel according to their own unique needs.

Good old Western all-American stuff.
