Sioux County (9 photos = 1 piece)
These are photographs I took about ten years ago inside the cabin you see in the first photo. The cabin is used for hunting and is located in Northwest Nebraska's beautiful Pine Ridge. It is on pristine ranch land about two miles west of where Crazy Horse was killed at Fort Robinson.
I tweaked photos 2-8 pretty aggressively in PhotoShop to give the interior an appropriately 'surreal' look while converting # 1 and #9 to black & white so they could serenely bookend the strange contents of the cabin.
They are ink jet printed on canvas and stretched over 20 x 16 inch stretchers, then framed.
Strange place, interesting history.
